Welcome to the SUNY Potsdam Libraries' Makerspace! We are located in the lobby of SUNY Potsdam's Lougheed Learning Commons. The Makerspace will open for Spring 2019 on Monday January 28th.
We are open during Fall semester (excludes breaks and finals week) as follows:
Monday thru Thursday - 10am to 9pm
Fridays - 9am to 4pm
Use our 3D scanners and 3D printers to explore digital fabrication, prototyping, and the use of technology to transform idea to reality. All disciplines and skill sets can experience new technologies with the help of our trained assistants. By providing the tools and ingredients we hope to encourage creativity and inquiry, and to facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration.
The equipment was purchased through funding provided by a Northern New York Library Network (NNYLN) technology grant.
For general questions regarding the makerspace, or for faculty who would like a consultation regarding Makerspace equipment or incorporating maker activities into curriculum please contact Jim Hubbard or Orin Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org
Note: May 10th is the last open day of the Spring 2019 Semester.
*Disclaimer- The trained assistants in the Makerspace are there for assistance with the printers and to offer some assistance with designs. We are NOT providing instruction on how to design.*
