Circulation and Collection Management Student Openings

The College Libraries frequently have Federal Work Study positions open in Circulation and Collection Management at the beginning of each semester.  If we are hiring for these positions, a link to the application form will be posted at the bullet below and remain up until all positions are filled.  Applicants must have work study (that's the pot of money we pay from - if you don't have work study, don't apply for these jobs) and may need to work on Friday and/or Saturday afternoons.

 

  • Jobs are currently available for WORK STUDY.  If you are interested please fill out the SUNY Potsdam College Libraries Job Application.  Please note that part of the application is filling out a grid within a Microsoft word document.  You may wish to apply on a computer rather than a phone.

Technology Help Desk Student Positions in Crumb Library

 

At the beginning of each semester, the College Libraries frequently seek students who are familiar with both Windows and/or Mac OS to staff the Technology Help desk in Crumb Library days, evenings, and weekends. If we are hiring for these positions, a link to the application form will be posted at the bullet below and remain up until all positions are filled.  Work Study status is preferred.  Applicants must have a working knowledge of Microsoft office including: Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint, as well as Moodle and Helios.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining public use printers, Print-only stations, Computer workstations, Scanning station, and Loaner Laptops
  • Answer technology related questions pertaining to software usage, Moodle, email, Helios, etc., and assist users with their usage
  • Troubleshoot software and log in issues
  • Assist patrons with printer installation and network issues on personal laptops
  • Various other duties
