When you send an order suggestion to your designated liaison, for each title requested, please indicate whether the title is "Needed for assignment" or a "Good title the library should have". It is acceptable to bundle title requests together if they all fit the same assignment:
1. Needed for assignment - a brief description would be helpful e.g. "Freshman POL123 research paper." Include details if you think that would help us build gaps in the collection, e.g. students need to compare opposing viewpoints on hot topics and justify their position. Include semester/academic level such as freshman, honors, etc. 
OR
2. Good book/item the library should have (details like "we don't have any recent titles on Alexander the Great" is also helpful
Library liaisons will check the SUNY rule of three, circulation data and book reviews for intellectual level appropriateness and overall quality, and if they have any questions or alternative suggestions, they will get back to you.
