Open Educational Resources (OER) at SUNY Potsdam

"SPARC is a global coalition committed to making Open the default for research and education." They work to make Open Access and other Open practices more understandable for scholars and the public alike.

Student PIRGs is group made out of several statewide student organizations that study issues college students face every day, such as high textbook costs.

The CCCOER " promotes the awareness and adoption of open educational policies, practices, and resources."

The Open Education Consortium is " a global network of educational institutions, individuals and organizations that support an approach to education based on openness, including collaboration, innovation and collective development and use of open educational materials."

A private, charitable foundation, the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation has been working to support OER for over a decade.
