The Watertown Daily Times will likely be an extremely important resource for this assignment, as it is a local North Country newspaper that will provide perspective and information on the region in much greater detail than The New York Times or other national newspapers. But it isn't all that easy to access. To get to it, follow these steps.
1. From the Databases dropdown in the middle of the library's home page, scroll down to the bottom & select "Watertown Daily Times (and 'America's News Magazines')" then click Go.
2. On the screen that opens, click America's News.
3. Click on More Search Options underneath the search field.
4. Finally, either click on New York on the map or the check mark next to USA - New York on the list of locations. This will limit your search to only the Watertown Daily Times. From there, you can conduct your keyword search in the field in the middle of the screen.
