As a student at SUNY Potsdam, you can utilize our Interlibrary Loan service through Illiad (the software) at no charge. Illiad is integrated into our databases through the green "find it" button and so is fairly seamless on your end.
Things to know and tell:
- While there is no charge to you, there is a charge to us which we subsidize for students
- Therefore:
- Please do all your research FIRST and then only ask for the articles you really need. Don't just ask us for articles as you come upon them.
- Realize that after you graduate, there may be costs associated with obtaining articles.
- Delivery time is approximately 3-5 days on average.
- We can't always get what you request, it depends on how common/rare it is in other libraries. Things that are less common will likely take longer and may be cancelled if we cannot fill the request. That said...
- Most education journal articles will be fairly straightforward and readily available.
