Fake News! - How to Evaluate Information & Avoid Mis/Disinformation: Media Bias

Media Bias

Many of the places we go for news include some form of preexisting bias.  They may promote one side of the political spectrum, present opinions as facts, or offer misleading information.  This infographic from Ad Fontes Media (https://adfontesmedia.com/) charts the bias of many media organizations, rating them where their reporting falls on the political spectrum, as well as the value and truthfulness of the information they convey, ranging from factual reporting to inaccurate and fabricated content.  The farther to the margins on the Left or Right, and the lower down on the News Value & Reliability scale, the less you can trust the organization as an information source.
