Day 2: Job, Technology, and Campus Orientation
- Orientation
- Meet with the Direct Supervisor.
- Technology
- Introduction to Office 365, focusing on email and calendaring, including shared calendars and emails.
- Shared Emails:
- Step 1: CTS adds you on the back end.
- Step 2: Follow instructions for personal setup on CTS site.
- Shared Library Calendar: Discuss shared library calendar and practices.
- Campus Tour
- Extensive campus tour, especially the Crane library, using maps.
- Explain Paces, facilities, and services (dining, bookstore, laundry, etc)
Day 3: System Access and Meetings
- System Access
- Check Alma to ensure barcode integration as soon as the new employee receives their ID card.
- Roles added to Alma account.
- Meetings with Key Personnel
- Set up meetings each library staff person to understand their roles.
- Set up meetings with any staff the new employee will supervise to understand their roles.
- Set up meetings with other campus departments new employee will be working with.
Day 4: Professional Development and Training

- Trainings
- Compliance Training
- Complete mandatory Compliance Training covering legal requirements such as fire safety, workplace violence, and fiduciary internal controls.
