As a student at SUNY Potsdam, you also have access to the libraries of Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, and SUNY Canton. You can drop by in person to pick up a book just as you can at the Crane or Crumb Libraries. During your first visit to each of those libraries, you'll need to set up an account, so be sure to bring photo ID, such as your SUNY Potsdam Campus Card or driver's license.
Note: Your access to these libraries does not extend to remote access to their electronic resources. Due to licensing, academic libraries can only provide such remote access to their own tuition-paying students. However, if any of these libraries have electronic resources you need, you can always visit that library and access them on-site.

Anyone who is a resident or student in New York can get an electronic library card from the New York Public Library with which you can access their extensive collection of ebooks, audiobooks, and streaming content.

The Potsdam Public library is also available to all SUNY Potsdam students, and is only a couple of blocks from campus, right next to the fire department on Park Street. As a public library, its collection is far less focused on academic sources than are university libraries, but its an excellent resource for fiction or general nonfiction books.
