The SUNY Potsdam Library have thousands of ebooks in our collection, and that should be one of the first places to check if you're looking for a book. As long as you're a tuition-paying student, you have access to the libraries' electronic resources off campus as well as on campus, and the vast majority can be downloaded as a PDF, so they're easily and instantly available.
To locate an ebook, follow these steps:
1. From the library's main page (library.potsdam.edu), conduct an Everything search for your keywords, topic, author, or book title from the Quick Search field.
2. An Everything search will find everything the library has on a topic, including ebooks, physical books, journal articles, and more. To change your results to only ebooks, use the Tweek Your Results tools on the left--select Available Online under Availability to only get online resources and then select Books under Format to only get ebooks, and then click the Apply Filters button to update your results.
3. Access the ebook of your choosing by clicking the Available Online link beneath its entry.
4. The SUNY Potsdam Library subscribes to several ebook services, so not every ebook will look exactly like this, but all will enable you to read the book online, download a PDF of the entire book, or just download the specific chapter(s) you need. The library cannot give you access to the book forever, so these PDFs are temporary and will stop working after a few weeks. If you still need the book, simply come back and download it again.
